About Tenniac

Tenniac is a daily tennis puzzle. Every day there's one player to find. You get six guesses, and each one tells you how close you are across six attributes: gender, nationality, birth year, playing hand, backhand, and peak ranking.

A new puzzle unlocks at midnight in your local time zone, whether that's Melbourne or Madrid. Sign in with just an email address to keep a streak going and see your stats over time. No password needed.

Where the data comes from

Player records are built from Jeff Sackmann's open ATP and WTA datasets, cross-referenced against Wikidata for biographical details. Photos are sourced from Wikimedia Commons contributors. The eligible pool is every player, active or retired, who has reached the top 100 in singles: a little under 2,200 names.

We do our best to keep every attribute accurate, but if you spot something wrong about a specific player, we'd like to know.
